Great review.. Real player does suk , but lots of alternative to it ......

Also . the widescreen mode should be enabled or hack by someone .. i am sure it is not that hard to do ....


On another note I cant wait for the iPhone review .. I mean it looks nice and all but I am 100 % it wont be half what ppl expect ... (big , expensive and unhackable who would want that ? not me hehe) ....

and yea btw I dropped my phone twice now , once it even went down the stairs , ant it still works flawlessly , I doubt the iPhone will be that solid ...

I agree re: iPhone. Honestly, I hammed it up a little bit with the iPhone theme, etc etc ... If the E6 had a better music player and could do widescreen, it'd be really quite amazing. iPhone is going to be super expensive and limited in terms of what you can do with it (on Apple's terms). But honestly? I bet the user experience will be pretty great. Apple knows how to do UIs.

Personally I think RealPlayer isn't half-bad. The playlist management is pretty awesome and it's very easy to select the files you want to play with the media catalog function. It lacks a little responsiveness when skipping and pausing tracks, but otherwise it's ok.

Unless I missed it (which is totally possible), you can't drill down from All Music to Artists to Albums. Not being able to see, say, all of the David Bowie albums on my memory card is absurd. I can see all of his tracks, or I can see all of the albums I have by all artists, but to not see albums by artist is ridiculous.

Yeah, for me it's huge. I loaded a 2gb SD card up with music and for my preferences, anyway, RP on the ROKR just makes a mess of it. I like to be able to listen to part/all of certain albums, etc, and the RP interface is just really lacking for me. iPod, SE Walkman, Nokia -- all the other music players I've seen follow the Artists-->Albums-->Tracks convention. I can see how it wouldn't bother someone else, but it drives me nuts that E6 doesn't do this!
