Complete N00b guide to Installing Skins/themes/Programs

Will someone for the love of GOD post up a Tut that actually makes sense..

Ive got so many damn files now supposedly to be used when installing skins/themes n such..

I have MPKG, and I think I have Linloader (Which is a .Lin file, wtf?).. Now what..

Go on phone?
What Folder?
run from computer?
Do I need both?
What does each one do?


I generally try to not be a total noob with things like this but everything I have read on 6 Different moto forums has all said about the same thing, and dont really make any sense, they are not specific enough for me to follow, and give me absolutely no clue as to WHAT im doing, just a vague discription of what to do..

In the Tut, I would seperately like to know how to install a Skin/Theme.. and another Tut for program install/uninstall

dont worry, i was like this as soon as i got my phone, i would love to help you but you are not going to get it any simpler than in the other topics, so if you want, and if you have msn we can set up a little appointment, and ill tell you step by step and you can tell me whats going on specifically with the phone since there could be many variables, to the problem and what not.. anyways let me know and ill be happy to help

Its nice to see that the files I put up are being downloaded, but its not helping anyone that your not sharing what your doing..

Id really prefer not to wait for this flash tutorial if someone could just walk me thru it..
