Default Partial Backup BETA + CG Editing.

Just a note, by nothing bad could happen to your phone by running this script. Essentially it's just going to copy 5 files to your MMC.

This script was used on the E2 to backup the CramFS CG's (34, 37, 41, 42 ,43) In theory, it should work the same on this phone as the same CG's are CramFS. If this does work, we can atleast get a working backup of most of the AP software. The only left out CG's would be 31 (?) 32 (?) 33 (Which is said to be the kernel) 35 (?) 36 (?) 39 (The Boot Image, very easy to replace). Also attached is SBF Codec by Lucrece. It allows one to open and slpit SBF Files. you can 'parse' any CG that is CramFS. This is for windows. It is nice as i run Linux Virtually, and it's a pain to boot into a new workstation just to see what's in a CG. Also included is CGStart and CGDone. These are used in linux. They are just very small scripts i made that are used in the command line. They open CramFS CG's and split, then recompile, respectively. Be sure to rename the CG that you want to edit in this format CGxx.SMG (Where xx is the number, but ALL CAPS [not the number, that would be symbols! :P]). These are the tools i use to edit CG's. For more info, check out the guides section in the E2 Forums @ Freemod.net. I've written several guides there on modding CG's, modding in linux, and even changing the bootscreen. We are trying to switch each guide over to flash video, but it takes time lol. Enjoy!

BTW, I haven't found any of this stuff covered in this forum, nor have i seen it in the Development or A1200 forum. So I thought that i would paste it hear so that way people wanting to learn can learn. If there is a problem please let me know, I mean no disrespect by posting this.

If anyone has any questions on how to make this stuff work or what-not, feel free to PM me, or add me to your MSN contacts list, I'm on there frequently enough for my Forums.

Also, I'll start making some guides for this mobile as soon as it arrives. I'll post them here as well as on the E6 forums @ freemod. I'll try to make video guides and put them on freemod, but no promises... I have to get back to work on monday so it may take a few days (editing the video and such). But they are worth it, sometimes seeing how to do something is a much better way to learn than just reading.

Unfortunately it does not. But all one needs is a complete MP for the model which you want to create f/w for.

There are new versions yet to support CRAMSFS. SBFCodec works fine though.

I don't understand either but I believe its something to do with CRAMSFS structure, this is just a stipulated guess. At this time, it can still only be done under linux

I just downloaded the latest version 1.2.4 March 2007 and ezx support hasn't been added. Sucks because SBF-Recalc is so nice. I sent him an email ago asking for ezx support and he said he'll look into it.
