does windows detect the phone as a removable drive at all? It could be the usb port.
Okay, I've been having trouble getting mpt to reconize my E6. I let it search for the phone, when it didn't find it, I went to manual install and then chose the MOTOROKR E6 GSM phone. When the phone window popped up, it said "Mobile not Connected". MPT and P2ktools detects my V3r, but not my E6. Can anyone help?

When I turn the phone into Mass storage mode, yes, but when in Modem mode, it doesn't. In mass storage mode, it doesn't have anything in the file.
which os are u running
OS? Sorry, I'm new to these Linux phones. Also, I don't have the phone with me just now...
which windows os i mean, if u're running 32 or 64-bit you need these drivershttp://www.motorolafans.com/forums/download.php?id=3562
I had the same problem initially but mine was the opposite, it could only detect when I used in modem mode and not on mass storage mode. The funny thing was that the computer keep prompting to install the drivers for the mass storage and the modem driver for a few times and it became okie. So it could be the connection problems with USB or the OS was not able use the drivers properly. Anyway I'm using Win XP home and using the USB connectors to link the phone to the com.
I had this problem at first as well. What ended up working for me was to let the pc autoinstall the modem drivers and then I turned my phone on and off, plugged it in and now I have no problems. I do not know if you are canceling the new hardware driver install, but I was and that seemed to be the catch.
when the mass storage is connected properly, you should be getting prompted to install about 5-8 drivers. Direct windows to look into your driver cd and it should work.
yeap! it will keep detecting something called "Pseudo"
just continue to install until this stop
head over to your control panel, hardware to hav a look
hahaha a whole list of Moto items!
