E6 as a webcam

Guys,

Under setup - USB Modes : There is a Webcam selection..

Did anyone notice and use it, My attempt has failed because My computer did not recognise the phone and kept this new hardware as an unknown device under device manager..

Ifyouare using Win XP with Sp2 you dont need additional drivers for this , if not you need the cd that came with the phone .. if you dont have it let me know I will upload it for you .. or link it btw the camera works pretty nice)

Im going to be getting the phone this week to edit. Ill tell you what drivers it uses when i recieve it.

A small warning: Although your computer already have SP2 , it might not sense the phone as a webcam and it might demand on USB drivers.

After running DAGr8's driver software - A pop-up window comes up and says smtg like"You already have SP2 - There is no need of running this software". But before this warning Some files are being uploaded to Computer with the name of Motorola.

Finally, you have to cancel installation. The next time you plug your phone to USB - It will understand what it have to

Hey DAGr8 I'm not sure if this will help but when I first plugged in the phone to the comp and the screen about installing the software to get the pc to recognize the phone I just clicked on the location of the CD that I had my MPT at. You do have the CD that came with the phone right? Hopefully what I said makes sense. Not sure if other ppl are using some other driver but that worked for me.

WellI hope thats not it , cuz that didnt work for me ..

I first did it in this order

Instal MPT , ( it asks for the driver and chose MPT ' s driver) then instal rsd lite , and no go, it wont recognize the phone ...

I have reformated my cpu ( again ) and I got 2 comps here so I am ready to install the proper drivers
