E6 touchscreen not working

The touchscreen of my E6 has frozen completely. It does not respond to any touch.
Not sure what would have caused it.

My firware is .08P generic..

Pls help me folks..

Well how did the problem started try starting Phone without SD and SIM card

remove battery SD and SIM from phone
then insert battery and boot if it boots correctly try inserting SIM card then again boot

there may be problem with SD too may be try Master clear if possible

I tried all the things u have mentioned but to no avail....The touchscreen is completely frozen

well are buttons working ?

have you tried camera key

and power off button navigation keys customised key browser key

are they working

I mean the phone is getting hanged or the screen is only not working

The buttons are working fine. The camera key is working fine too.

The phone does not hang and only the screen is not working,

flash again..and c...wether it helps or not...or dd u try screen calibration ..???????

Try loosening some screws. In some cases, the screen is pressed (touched) by the wedge.

In order to calibrate the screen, I need to enter the setup and as the screen is frozen, can't do so

And I am not sure if flashing would help..

I flashed my phone..Still the touchscreen problem persists

I think this is a hardware problem.

Any ideas?
