My E6 Doesnt Charge/Turn ON

Hi All ,

My ROKR E6 is 3 years old. I left my mobile uncharged for couple of days & it doesnt boot up now. I tried charging, but it doesnt get charged. I kept it in charging state for 3,4 hours still it doesnt turn ON.

I tried with USB Charging, it turns ON and struck up in boot screen. (Battery gets heated, while doing with USB charging. But still same result, once I remove it from PC)

This means my battery is dead ??

Before this, my mobile was fine with battery time comes for a day atleast. Will it go dead all of a sudden ?

Or problem may be with charging circuit ?

I think Battery is deep dischared. Charge battery now & then. Try charging battery with "Battery Only Charger" If no then, battery has to be replaced. Don't allow battery to get deep discharged.

Wont there be any circuit to protect from deep discharge!!! ??

Battery only Charger!!?? designed for ROKR E6 battery ?? I too will do a google for it...

Mobile phones run on Lithium ion batteries. Lithium ion batteries discharge 30-35 % every month even if you won't use. There will be no mechanism to prevent deep discharge. Motorola Original battery only charger cost you around 450-500/- Just go for ordinary. They cost 80-100/- Problem might be with Charger, USB port on E6. Using battery only charger will rule out these doubts.

I don't think battery is permanently dead. Try with battery only charger. Then will see what next to do.

I got another rokr E6 and I charged my battery to full & tried booting my mobile. Still it doesn't turn ON.
It just hangs in Moto Bootup Logo... :-/

Can anyone identify, where the problem might be ?

I have to try flashing my rokr ?

Anyway to backup my contacts / messages ?

you can not create backup until the phone starts up correctly
and if possible recharge the battery and flash your phone to solve this problem

Hi Ganesh, Did you try booting phone without memory card? If not, try turning your phone on by removing memory card. Even that fails, no other option.. Flash your phone. As Kundan mentioned, no other option to take backup of your contacts without turning your phone on.

Yeah I tried without memory card too, but did not helped.

I am planning to flash my E6... Will let get help from you guys, if needed...

Sad part is I didn't try anything new with my mobile recently (Including Backup).. Though my bad luck facing the issue (
