I suggest you to try the screen calibration under the setup menu.

Even after calibrating if it doesn't work, you need to change the touch screen.

If ur touchscreen doesnt work try these 2 methods it will surely wrk:-

    (1) try calibrating the screen.if it doesnt work go to step 2

    (2) i had same problem tht my touchscreen was behaving whacky. you can change the digitizer which cost 400rs or if u want a low cost method then see the disassembling video on youtube of motorokr e6 and open the phone urself. now jst above the keypad after opening, press the joint .. and the main point to remember is tht when u again assemble back the phone then donot tightly put the 4 screws back in phone. Jst put the screw loosely and it wrks gr8 4 me..

    try doing it urself...

Hey Freinds, i found a new & cheaper way to make the touchscreen work again....
if ur touch screen is not working properly And is wrking only when u press the motorola written on the phone jst try this ...
    1. firstly u have to disassemble ur phone...
u can see disassembling video on u tube...
2.Now u have 2 make a small role of piece of paper and put itbetween touchscreen and the metal cover beneath battery...
3.it tightens the screen again & my phone is working wonders:-
i will post some screenshots in few days...
