How to Edit pkg files

hello friends,

first of all thank you all EZX phone modders to give me such an opportunities to modding my E6...

not i am really interested on working with you people and i want to develop some applications...

i need help from u that how to edit pkg files.....

i tried

1) change file extention from .pkg to .zip
2)Then unzip the folder
3)It contains no of files like .qm , .desktop as well some images
4)i know the about linux programming somewhat
5)i hv problem in editing .qm files

can any one please help how to open and edit .qm files bcaz with wordpad it shows some no of squares...

so please help me so that i can go ahead in my work........thanks again to all my dear friends....

.PKG is tar.gz and easily modify by 7zip



First of all install 7zip software in ur computer then modify with it in ur desire manner

I dont know anything about linux programming.........
BUt few days ago i was extracting and editing some files using cygwin.......
Not sure about it.......
Ask konig.....He knows much better.....

ya you r right but it is for only extracting perpose.......
......you can not modify content on .qm file after extracting

please help on editing

qm files are the localization files, ie, to display in different languages.
