touch function not working properly

hello frens.... i purchased motorokr e6 last year.. its more than 1 year.. & now before 2 or 3 days its touch screen not working properly.... for example if I want to dial a no. & when i press on 4 it works for 2...and its on all other thing also, if i want to play a song & when i touch on that song it play another song on list which is upper than that song... And functions on deep lower like "options, ok, close" not working...
plz tell me what would i do...
Is flashing can solve problem......????

I have the same problem (sometimes). It's hard to tell whether its firmware or hardware related because, for me, after pressing a hardware button then pressing the touchscreen, it works. How about for you?

it doesnot work for me... my hardware buttons are working properly... but without touchscreen its useless.. it have same problem earlier also but not this much... earlier its ok in 10-15 minutes when i switch off & on 2 or 3 times... but now its more than 2 days & i switch off & on my phone near about 100 times... I m stuck... plz help me...

guys this is a common problem even im facing .... well anyways .there is a solution ...ok as some of u must be knowing that i have changed the housing last week i came to know that there is a part on the keypad below the motorola title shown in the pic, this part must touch the other part on the housing (not shown in pic ) if it doesnot come in contact with it than the screen stops responding ............ok now the solution

1)take a piece of paper and fold it and put it below the battery and check if this works
2)if above procedure wont work put a little pressure on the motorola title on the keypad
3)sell ure rokr to some 1 when its temporary working and get a new one ...
tell me if this helps ....

its also doesnot works for me.... i put paper below the battery & i also put pressure on the motorola titile but its not work for me... Is there more solutions....???? I love my rokr & i want it back as it was before 3 days.... plz plz plz... i would be very thankful to u my frens...

weird !! this must work for u !! anyways put more fold and try again or put ure phone on some cool place !! this problem is there on my pone from long time !!and above soln works for me !! or do one thing if there is a scratch guard remove it ....if nothing helps try applying more presure on every part of keypad and the part above it ..........
hey ...did u drop ure phone ??? cause a friend of mine also droped his phone !! and the problem was the strip inside got loose and screen was totally not responding if its so ...than u have to show it to service centre guys !!!

i dont understand why it not working for me.... yes i have scratch guard on my phone & this time i remove it & put more fold on paper & put more presssure on whole keypad.... but nothing happens... help me technicians... help me.. my warranty is over bcoz its more than 1 year... i cant afford service center fee...

I was facing a very weird problem, sometimes my screen doesn't respond at all but after pressing hardware button its back to normal for short time then again the same problem.
What i did, i removed my memory card and my touchscreen was working perfectly. So i cleaned the memory card adapter's copper part and also memory card, then put it back in the slot.
After that my touchscreen is working perfectly.
