E6 General Chat Motorola ROKR E6 is somehow a candybar version of the A1200 as they functions very similarly but with far more multimedia capabilities!

@mm: Cool down man. We all know you for what you are. Dont let these things get the better of you

@anurag: We really hope that the service station is able to offer you better help regarding this; and that your phone starts responding normally again. My guess is that the antenna contact has been affected, which is triggering some sort of a shutdown process as soon as it is being activated/used. Consequently, no amount of drying will help you.

A BIG AND HUGE """SORRY" for such a hugely popular member.
No, MOTOMASTER, this is not frustration, i just wanted to ask if really and genuinely i messed up and can't get my phone back, you can say I am desperate.
Sorry if I offended you, though it was purely unintentional.
I've seen many times the first one to come up with a solution is none but motomaster here.
This is nobody's but my fault that i let my phone fall in water.
This is a great forum and all of us are here to make the most of it, not to offend someone or to get mad at someone for a mistake of your own.
Dear friend motomaster, SORRY if i hurt your conscience
No offense

Dear friend xetaman, this is what I think might have happened, just wanted to hear from an experienced member.

May be service center people can help
"Fingers crossed"

BTW, Samsung Star has a big screen and fully operable by finger, but it has nothing to be compared to E6.
I'm without my E6 for 9 days and a new phone for 5 days and i am already missing it so much.

I'm puzzled why your phone is still not working.
My phone fell into the ocean (salt water) & I didn't have any alchol, but just rinsed with fresh water and let it dry on the roof of my car. I didn't try starting it until later that night and it came on and shut down soon after. I think it was still too soon. Tried it a few days later and it was ok, though weeks later I did notice the camera no longer worked.
Would be surprised if your problem was corrosion related as my phone fell in salt water and still no corrosion for over a year.
Let us know the outcome.

I don't know, may be as xetaman pointed out, while it fell in washbasin, the impact with hard surface might have damaged some vital parts, some chip or some other thing. I read somewhere that there are two processors in modern phones, a baseband processor for carrying out network related task is there, may be it got damaged somehow (correct me if I am wrong).

Most certainly, as soon as I get to those repair guys and see if something can be done.
I am really very sad.
When I went looking for a new phone, I was told MOTOROLA has stopped selling their products in India.
Is it true? Is there any news?
