A810 to E6

so sorry if i posted this at the wrong forum

well i purchased a A810

and all the showrooms i visited tld me that the OS of a810 and moto rokr e6 is same beig the linux type

but when my friend sent me a .pkg file

my mobile gave the error file type not recognized

and what about the use of system folder in e6?

does it work in A810?

A810 and E6 is not even the same manufacturer.

E6 is made by Motorola, uses a pxa27x processor and is an EZX phone.
A810 is made by E28, uses an omap850 processor and is NOT an EZX phone.

so then which applications i can use?

and like in e6 using the system folder you can add other than default applications
into the main menu how can i do that here?

yes as far as i know pkg files should work with this phone... maybe you don't have mpkg/pkg installer installed
