    Default BLUETOOTH MPT-Phone connection problem

    Hi there!
    I own a R0KR-E6.
Whenever I try to connect it with MPT (V. 5) or (V. 4)- the MPT which shipped wid my R0KR, via BLUETOOTH, I get an error saying-" COM port installation failed".BLUETOOTH MPT-Phone connection problem-3.png
Also a dialog box pops up saying that " MPT cannot connect wid my fone, " however it detects it readily.BLUETOOTH MPT-Phone connection problem-1.pngBLUETOOTH MPT-Phone connection problem-2.png
I can transfer files from PC to fone wid ease, so any connection issue is not a plausible reason, or is it?
I am running Win-7 x64 , build 7201. But the error was persistent in Win Vista x32 and x64 as well.
    what should I do?

Windows 7 is too much to ask from Motorola. You may Pm Konig since he has used Win7 a lot.I formatted Win7 after it was slow as compared to Xp and was in beta stage.
Vista and MPT also had problems , as you said. Can you install xp on dual boot?

Is there no other way to fix the BT bug but to change the OS? Couldn't tinkering with COM port settings, in a way other than what windows explicitly allows (cuz I've tried 'em all) help?

Thankyou for the guides. How about Running Xp in Virtual Machine? But isn't its like all hardware resources, including the Com ports are managed by the host os? I have limited space on my 320 G drive So need to think twice before some up-scale operation.

    Thankyou for responding.

Well maybe.Anything is possible but as I said I have little experience with Windows 7.
And as far as my web reading goes , responses have not been positive.

Angry Unable to connect MPT via BT

    Hi

I had been having the same issues i.e not able to connect E6 to my Laptop thru BT. Am able to do so with Cable. Am able to transfer files from/to Laptop/other pC with BT directly or thru OBEX commander, but not able to connect MPT with BT. I'd raise this in the forum sometime back and was told that this is NOT possible, due to <some> profile not being available in E6 !!
