micro SD problem

guys i hv a micro SD fr my rokr e6... yestrdy i turnd on swap on my fone n after sum tym i ejectd d card out using d option cald eject.... d fone hung... so i removd d battery n restartd d fone.... n frm den my mirco SD is not bieng recognised in my fone... neither in my laptop nor in my comp wd a card reader....

HELP ME GUYS...... I bought d 2 gb micro SD in a local shop for 600 bucks,..... n i dont think he'll giv me a free replacement fr it....

Format the card in another phone and master reset your e6.
Restart and re-insert.

motomaster: i tried tat too...nokia phone recognises d card but i cant format it...it shows as :unformatted and d space as 0 Kb......wierd man!!!
i jes dont noe wt 2 do... i'm gona loose al my pics n video ....
and ya 1 more thing , my e6 cn recognize other mem cards....i mean other than dis perticular SD card

have you off the swap?

*mmc may be faulty.
buy new one & it must be standard like sandisc etc.

Have you tried any other phone than nokia/maybe another moto/sony.
If not then , put the card into a nokia phone and plug the nokia to the pc in mass storage mode.
See if the computer takes it.
It is highly probable that that the card is seriously corrupt.

sory guys!!! i think i'v screwd up d phone itslf...it doesn recognize any mem card..... any idea?? i think it happin cuz i stuffd in a dummy mem card.... n aftr tat! my fone is gone

Master reset the phone w/o memory card.
Do a master clear too.
Restart phone w/o mmc.
Check if everything is fine->insert new card
If the phone fails to read that too then you have messed up with the memory card reader slot in the phone.I would take it to motocare unless a better advice comes to the rescue.

Try getdataback for fat or something similar, you never know... Maybe it will recover your documents on the card.
After that i guess formating is the best way to get rid of any data coruption.

And please... write entire words...

thanks for your suggestions guys...... but nothing actully worked out..... i even reflashed my firmware...but in vein

It hasnt helpd me yet.....i think i'l take it to the motostore tomorow morning
good part is its under warrenty...but the firmware is modded, i modded nicks black perl in my fone....

hmmm....shud i reflash it to the generic firmware and then give it to the stores or is it ok, if i give it jes like tat with that moded firmware??

Flash it to the one you had when you got the phone, to be on the safer side
