for real player, using Bass boost equalizer provides sufficient bass in headphones, though lowering the volume a bit. wouldn't be a problem, if you are using good quality earphones, but for supplied earphones, volume is low enough to make you use highest possible volume settings.

in case, you don't have equalizer options in realplayer, better switch to a good player like rockbox, or exmms (for audio).
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary,
over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'.
While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour,
" 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, "give me back my free hardcore!"

bass boost in real player sucks,on checking that option the bass become less then already it is, n rock box is wierd to configure considering the large no. of option it has n decible values,i mean how the hell m supposed to know wuts the value of different seeting in decibles n all that, so tryto provide me a volume table or in case of rockbox some good equilizers setting

do one thing if you want equalizers like exmms in realplayer.
    1.open exmms.
2.play any song in full sound as the equalizer as u want.
    3.just close it.
4.open real player player any song the sound quality is same as exmms you put.
Note:dont change equalizer of realplayer or do not restart the phone.

check the threads in e6 section there is one thread called, equilizers for rockbox after hard work of three months.that will answer all ur queries.anyways each thinv has its limitations,u can not expect rokr e6 to beat ipod.but music in rockbox is good after using those equilizers, all settings required are explained there
