impossible if it's on a cramfs file i'm affraid... Even if you edit some config/installation systemregistry...It will still re-appear at each reset to factory default settings...
possible if it's on the jffs2 parts (/ezxlocal or /ezxuser)

i think we can do one thing....may be iam wrong.....but we can mount & bind the original numberpad with the fingerpad which is integrated through startup script.....

Heh, probably right! There is always a solution! Thanks.
But just to aware of the cons... the bind mounted folder will use more memory than necessary...
I don't know either if it is big in size, if it will work... etc...

So there is only fingerpad on the firmware That's nice!!
Just curious, is there a way to have a mod with both types ??

what problem u r facing.if u r facing problem in using it,like typing through it and u want only numeric pad then use the nik's expansion set to set 1st view as numeric one.if its not running at all then after do one thing restart your phone then master clear then again manually restart then master reset, then again manually restart it should work fine

the default numberpad is of just 32kb.....i don't think so it will take more memory........you know many are using the fingerpad by mounting the folder and the fingerpad file.....and that folder is of approximaelty 300 kb in size..so we can take the chance.......i didn't understand.....what do you mean by mod with both types
