E6 restart problem

Dear modders,

My phone restarts when I try to use internet. When some data intensive request is made then suddenly the brightness of the phone is reduced and it reboots.

I have tried 2 service providers (GP, WARID) in our country. Both the service provider has EDGE support. However GP's EDGE speed is almost 2 times as WARID's EDGE speed. When i insert GP's sim card and start the phone it restarts immediately after starting. This process continues 3/4 times and then the phone is finally started. Now if i try to use internet it reboots again. Actually i cannot use GP's internet at all. All the time i try to access an url in the browser, it reboots duing the page loading. When I use WARID's sim card then the initial reboot problem does not occur at all. The internet with this provider can be used. But it restarts constaltly. After i used Alpha's EDGE script (putting the phone in offline mode wihout a sim card and apply EDGE script with radiocomm) the internet problem with this provider is mostly gone. However sometimes it restarts during internet use but not as frequent as it restarted before appling the EDGE script.

I have tried flashing with the following firmware/monsterpack with Alpha's EDGE script but the problem remains same.

Can this be a hardware problem? Please help me solve this problem.

Some time it happend to me also. As you mention you have flash with several monster packs and the problem is same.

Try this coz my problem has resolved by this procedure

1. Take out the battery for 15 minutes
2. Put back in and charge it completly
3. Insert Sim Card
4. Do a Master reset

Then try..

If this fails then once try to replace another battery.

And if the both method fails then take it to moto care center.

But before giving to Moto care center pls wait for other respective replies here.

That many firmware flashes and still the same problem, obviously points all fingers to a hardware issue.

Check some simple things:

Are your battery contacts connecting correctly?
Did the phone suffer a fall sometime recently?
Since when is this problem happening? Anything you did just before it started occuring?
Does the phone charge up properly?

well, u can also try enabling swap. it happens to me too sometimes, and enabling swap memory solves the issue. also, chk ur gprs provider's settings. as u mentioned this is more ofter the case with one particular provider, so the issue is with the gprs settings related to the service provider. hope, this solves the problem.

I have tried your steps (1 to 4) but the problem is not solved. I will try to get a new battery to test if it helps.

I have brought this mobile in January this year. The problem is there from the beginning. ...and yes my battery is charging properly. It shows "Charge Complete" when it is fully charged.

I have enabled swap from SmartAssist. No luck. GPRS setting is probably correct. I have used the same setting in a Nokia N70.

why don't u get the settings for E6, rather than using the settings for N70. both are totally different phone, so there may be some difference in settings. not sure though.

Hi Mithu1408,
Seen here you have tried all those procedures which was suggested by all respective members and modders.
But you are Still with Same problem.
As xetaman Said "It points all fingers to a hardware issue"
I would Suggest you know to go with Moto care.
But Remember One thing As you said you have purchased your E6 this january, that means it covers in warranty period.
Before giving to MOTO CARE pls reflash your E6 with generic firmware.
Otherwise your warranty will be void.

you must have to flash with generic f/w.
finally going to service centre.
if its in warranty use it.
