| |  rokr as a web camera in vista
i am using vista ultimate.when i tried to connect my phone as a web cam it says the device is successfully installed but i am not able use it.......
u people hav any idea how to connect it?  |

U need to get driver for every hardware u connect.. it was not in Xp...
i too face the problem with Vista.
so kindly change your Operating System to Xp. |

what an unprofessional response. u really think, someone is gonna change his OS for any problem, which can be solved without it. plus, i guess he already paid for the Vista Licence, atleast I expect him to. i dont think this response will get u any kinda praise. try not to be rude, with someone asking for help.

hey, u can use ur web camera easily. it should install without asking for drivers. vista takes up 9gb of system space to make sure, it install most of the devices without asking for drivers. atleast I never encountered any device not working with Vista, apart from those legacy devices. But that's like asking abacus to work in sync with Mac. Or asking to use Maruti 800's tyres with Ferrari.
Yeah, for your question, the answer is quite simple. You will not see web camera displayed in My Computer, unlike Xp. But if you use Skype or any other software that uses Webcamera, they will recognise the cam. Also, check devices and printers page in control panel, if your device is installed, it will be there. Also, if possible, bear with Vista for few more months, and wait for Win7, instead of going back to Xp. Its more or less like going back to school, if you don't like college.  Rest is your choice.

Hi friends,
I want to use My E6 as webcam in xp..
When i tried to connect with yahoo it doesnt work i fund just a black screen.
Does any drivers to use this i have to install? Or if anyone can provide using instructions it would be great help for me too.

in XP, my computer shows the webcamera device connected. double click on it, and it will show you the webcamera view. If that's black, then its a problem with ur f/w. or else, chk your yahoo settings.

I have checked yahoo settings its fine... and recently i flash my phone with Niks "BLACK PEARL"
But still not find the way... |

I have trouble this problem , my e6 working correctly in xp , but i 've installed recent driver for vista and i can see my phone for a capture device but dont working only black screen.Do someone have any idea? |

did it work correctly under "My computer'? Is it displaying the black screen there too?? If yes, uninstall the web camera and re-install the driver. If still the problem, try flashing e6 with different firmware.
