Default Couple of problems.. SD card & MPT

Got a couple of problems I was hoping I could get some help with.
First one.. I can't get any version of Motorola Phone Tools to recognize my E6. I have installed/uninstalled the lastest version of motorola drivers many times. I have tried it on different computers. I have no clue why it won't work!
Second problem is, I have a 4gb SD (not HC) and the only way I can access it to transfer files is by taking it out of my phone and sticking it in my computer card reader (pain in the ass). Anyway to fix it so I can read it while it is in my E6?

    ** I am using E6 08P firmware **

    Thanks for any help!

I think some problem with your phone i guess, okay first try this remove your battery for 20 min, put it back and do a master reset. If this one doesn't work better flash once again with some other firware

Have you ever flashed your phone?

If no , then we proceed as follows.

Re-flash with the generic .08p f/w from the e6 f/w section and re try.Usually re-flashing eradicates the problem.

As for the 4gb card , due to compatibility issues these things are inevitable , but I use it without any hiccups although sometimes it gives me the same headache it is giving you.

Try ejecting the card and then refreshing the phone several times and then master resetting.Insert the card then and try again.Although I don't think it would work to a good extent.

I would again suggest a flash but this time to a modded f/w to get rid of the ''generic '' tag.

As for extra info:I use 4gb sandisk card .Also a 4gb kingston card works fine.
