Phone freezes!

my fone freezees when i use MOTOROLA PHONE TOOLS for transfering contacts from my fone to PC.
m usin workinmans_non VR_ f/w.

actually i can read the fone contacts on my friends PC usin the PHONE TOOLS but can't On my PC, though i'v got all drivers installed n al..

Do not use MPT 5.0 ,use the one that came with your phone .Also try changing the USB port.

Check back with results.

hey master i firstly i had the cd version of MPT loaded on my PC but same happened wit it also
so i downloaded the ver5 n installed it in a hope that i wud make a backup of my contacts on my pc, but it also din work...

I think the problem is on your pc, so uninstall all the motorola drivers, and also manually delete all the files related to motorola, sometimes uninstall will not remove all the files, remove your previous settings also, restart the pc, and install the one which comes with the CD.. Try this

He said it's working fine on his friend's system, and is not working properly on his own system, just for that u don't have to change the firmware. The problem is with his pc, either the collapse of the drivers or the Usb hub is not fine.
