Thread: Are there any mods fr these things ??

  1. Unhappy Are there any mods fr these things ??

Hi.... im a litl new to rokr e6... so i was pretty surprised to see that a few very, very essential things are missing on d e6. I have listed the things right here :-

    1. Keep a Call Log, wherein total amount of minutes of my outgoing and incoming calls are stored ( very usefull to know how many minutes of outgoing have been used )

    2. Keep a log of number of messages sent.

    3. Forward to the Next song in the mp3 player by just pressing the answer button on the earphones. (also to go to d next radio station) ( damn useful, as it is really bugging to dig into ur pocket to skip d song)

And surprisingly, these deatures can b found in d most basic of Nokia Cellphones. I really need d 1st n 2nd feature very badly. Any kind of help will b appreciated.

    Thanks

    Its already there

    1. Not exactly what you want. Click on the phone icon, and then the bottom left icon to open the advanced options. In there, click setup, and in the new window that opens up, select the call meter option. that will give you the TOTAL call time which I assume is incoming +outgoing

    2. Simply look at the sent items there is a box at the side which has a number, thats the one you want

    3. I dont use one, cannot comment

then press the = this sign in the bottom left>> then setup>>call meters..
abt the msgs well u can c the sent items in the msg box
n abt the third well pal how much can do by a single button..its just for attending calls I think..!!
u can use the side buttons to do these works which u mentioned
    Have fun with ur E6..!!

    @ all
but about prob no.1. , the call meters thing gives me a total of my outgoing and incoming... which is pretty useless :S . waddo i care abt d incoming minutes i wanna just keep track of outgoing... no way to do that??? I think that call charges thing might be of some use... but am not gettin wad xactly dat is...

    4. And One more problem came to light 2day ... the battery meter is bloody deceptive... is der nothin to know accurate battery remaining?? it was showing sme 40 % n wen i put it to charge i realise its just 5 % remainin :S

Yea, the battery meter problem is a very known issue. Dont worry, you will get used to it in due course of time. And you don't worry about the 40% becoming 5% when you put it to charge. The 40% will remain for a very very long time before it runs out.

The total number of outgoing minutes in itself is pretty useless if you consider the following factors:
    1. Any phone will add the outgoing talktime to seconds.
Eg: 1 call of 1:05 mins + 1 call of 1:10 mins, will show up as 2:15 outgoing mins. Although your operator would have charged you for 2+2=4 mins

    2. Per minute charges will vary depending on what you are calling (local mobile/ landline / outside state / outside country)

    So what good is it?

If you can afford a bluetooth headphone (some sell for as low as 20$), then you will get all song control / volume controls on the headset itself, which realplayer will respond to, via A2DP. That's your best solution i suppose.

    Thanks!
yea i got u... but call rates to all local mobile/landline is same fr me... so i can manage it... only if u can tell me how to use d "call cost setup" thing in d call meters.... thanks anyways... Though it would b great to have some mods that would, fr example , pause the song on just clicking the button on the earphones , and go to next song on long press
    dream mod
