You would have to use the flexbit from a firmware that has USBNet in it.
Hi hope someone can help.
I've done a fair amount of searching but so far haven't found a solution buried in the threads so am hoping someone can help.
I'm new to modding firmware but have a decent amount experience on unix like os's and have suceeded making quite a number of changes to the generic 09p for my own personal tastes but setting up USBnet as elegantly as I've seen in other firmware just has me stumped.
I've added the relevant binaries for usbnet to work and can turn it on via command line on the phone. I can connect to the phone via telnet and samba quite happily, so that part is working fine.
What I'm wondering is how to go about getting a USBNet option in Setup's "USB Mode" menu as this is just a sweet way to have it and I'd much prefer that over using a icon linked to a shell script to toggle it on and off.
Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.
@Konig, thanks, you seem to be a big help round these parts, I've learnt a lot from reading your posts, your efforts are greatly appreciated.
By flexbit I'm assuming you're refering to ezx_flexbit.cfg, like I said am new to firmware moding, so excuse my ignorance a little but some further clarification would be nice.
Thanks.

@motomaster: thanks would appreciate you posting the flexbit as it'll save me tracking down, downloading and unpacking a suitable firmware. Plus it may be handy for others in future.
Any idea if anyone has documented any specifics of ezx_flexbit or is manual editing it still much of an unknown?
Tried a few ezx_flexbit.cfg's, one each from Workingman's WM97XS and WM98XS 09p/22p hybrids, one from AHBN 07p and one which imahottguy had posted in an older thread that he had hand edited and speculated worked but hadn't confirmed. No luck so far, though the latest one seems to have enabled screen3, which is interesting, however rather useless for me here in Australia.
motomaster can u please post the file here..
thanzzz

I would have smoke but after testing with a lot of files myself form the flexibit, I found that some other files needed to be modified to in order to actually make it work about which nothing is known. There is no clear method known as of yet.
SO posting the file will not help much.Pick a firmware with inbuilt Telnet mode.
