Firmware for improving camera quality..

Hi... everyone..
I am using motorokr E6e... 22p koing f/w...
ma cam quality is way too below the expected level...
I saw the pics taken from E6 in this forum and my cam comes no where closer to it....

Can u suggest me a firmware which will be best for improving cam quality and at the same time has all other function like mpkg support, edge, web cam, and startup script...

Someone else with E6e?? have u faced the similar problem... ?? has the cam quality been degraded from E6 to E6e???

Use Dagr8's firmware(multi LP final) .It has a better camera.
Search for it in the stickies of e6 firmware section!

I have attached the camera file from Dag's .07p. Since you're using a firmware supported by startup scripts, just try this:

Extract the attached file to the memory card, and add the following code to the startup1.txt

mount --bind /mmc/mmca1/camera /usr/SYSqtapp/camera/camera

Let me know the results.

Bro I am in big mess.....
ma cam is not working anymore now...

I'll tell u exactly what I did...

I did as u said... copied camera file to SD card and then created a startup1.txt and placed it in SD card too... restarted my phone....
Didn't notice much of a difference in camera quality....

So in order to up my cam quality decided to go for
E6_R535_G_118109P_R92_RoKrRoXX_NikAura_Motofans_Xclusive
f/w... a
as it claimed to have DAG 07p camera quality and had more features as well...
I flashed my phone to this f/w.....
when tried turning on my cam in this new f/w (was excited to see the improved cam...) alas... the screen was blank.. nothing... black screen...

desperate to make my cam work.... I did master reset.. didn't help..

deleted the camera file and startup1.txt file ( the ones I created... as u said... )
didn't help either...

Thought it might some problem with the firmware...

I decided to flash my phone again to
E6e_07P_DAG_final
f/w...

but the same thing happened to me in this f/w as well.....
blank screen.. nothing happens on clicking capture....


Now I dont know what to do....
is it the problem with the firmware... but no one else has reported any camera issues with these f/w's.. so I guess f/w is not a problem...

I just bought this phone 10 days back...
i am using MOTO ROKR E6e....

wat shud I do.. shall I flash it again to 22p_konig_v2
or should I copy the camera and startup1.txt files again...?? or somethin else...

@domel003, sure no problem, its for everyone. make sure it does work first

@jotmatta. go back to 22p. see if the problem still exists. Id suggest you keep your memory card out of the phone for a while and do a couple of restarts to play around. try this, and let us know if it works.

Yea, any software level change cant muck up the camera itself. And all your software level changes can be undone in some fashion or the other.

Remember one thing: Dont panic!

For starters, do the restarts like konig said, by removing memory card. Also restart by keeping the battery out for a few minutes (that should surely erase any volatile memory changes).

I have never heard of any firmware having a blank camera out of the box, so flash to something else.. some generic firmware. 06p or 02p.

If all this fails, then panic!

@jotmatta k lstn da thng is that u wer using a 22p and u flashed it off to 09p i guess try flashing a 22p again ..if it wrks well n gud and try doin master clear and master reset .or turn off the phone put it to bootloader mode by pressing the camera key and the red {call end }key den when it says MBM mode with a red screen press the camera key once more ..den it says usb bppass thru mode or smthn ..try flashing back 22p or Aura again ..or try rokrroxx 08p cz its a different f/w altogether and plzz post ur results ..if the cam works l8r or not..

I switched back to 22p konig v2 firmware....

yeah I did panic a bit....!!! bought this phone just 10 days back... so I think my panicking was justified....
