I have a ROKR E6.

Let me tell u a story. I purchased this phone from my supervisor. I liked this phone cuz of the huge text message space.

And... it finally filled up. Thus I installed MPT 4.5 and the motodev drivers at that time. Eveyrthing worked fine. I was able to clear my inbox from the phone to the computer and everything worked wonderfully.

My reception sucked though... so I checked online and saw the ALPHA mods for EDGE and QUAD-BAND . Wow... I used radiocomm and applied the script and it worked.

RECEPTION WAS WONDERFUL! wow... but my SMS inbox filled up again...

I then tried MPT 4.5 again with the same drivers and my phone would not detect anymore. I downloaded all updated on MPT without much luck. I then tried MPT 5... same thing... phone not supported.

I tried P2K 2.6 drivers, I tried MOTODEV Motorola Handset USB Driver_32_v3.7.0 ... still not detected.

It isn't even detected by RADIOCOMM anymore with any drivers... not even the p2k... im going insane. I even tried RDS lite... and it still gave me the same results... NOTHING...

I have about 1400 sms received and about 1300 sent... i need them and i do not want to RESET my device... what else can I try?

Is it the alpha mods that might have screwed something up?

UPDATE :

I did not upgrade anything on the phone, no firmware update, no nothing, everything except the edge and quadband script.

I tried on multiple computer all using windows XP pro and none worked.

I tried 3 versions of MPT... the one that came on CD with the ROKR E6, MPT 4.5 off a torrent, and MPT 5 from another torrent ... AND MPT5 updated from version 4.5.

It just stopped working out of nowhere. Thus, I will try what follows:

I've been reading... again all over the web for information on how to make the phone work with MPT and found and interesting thread where this line seems to fix everything :

download the latest drives from the download section. Its under pc applications. I just recently helped my cousin set up his E6 with his vista machine.

Try creating a new profile, that seems to fix the problem with quite a few people

I actually downloaded version 4.04C... reformatted my PC... installed the drivers that came with the MPT and...

IT WORKS!!

It must of been either a corrupted driver file or maybe a wrong version of MPT...

I'm so happy... nomore IPHONE for me... ROKR E6 all the way!

I went through alot of posts to actually find that version but now it works perfectly! thanks to all of you who posted on similar threads!
