Backup contacts without Motorola Phone Tools

Hi folks,
Is there a way to backup contacts on the Rokr E6 without Motorola Phone Tools utility?

Currently, my cell phone hangs every time I connect it as a modem and hence I am unable to use the MPT utility.
I have tried all other stuff and didn't receive any great suggestion when posted earlier. See this thread:

So, the only way now is to flash it. However, flashing too is an issue as from the flash guide written on this forum I see that all my contacts would be lost and I need to back it up.
The quandary though is I can't back it up using the Synchronization feature in MPT as my cell phone hangs. Hence, I am looking for options.

Please help me in this regards.

There are numerous backup applications available.
Eg: backupandrestorenow

Even versions of smartassistant will do it for you.

Just do a search and u should find ur answers.

@itzkamal: I'm sure there's a way in at least one of the utilites to do just a backup of the messages only. Try smartasst.

yes it is solved early.just copy the main.db file in /ezxusr/sys.../main.db.
i have not give u exact words but this will help u.
