Hi frendz.....
i m having some issues with my E6.........
sometime the phone detects the memry card & while i m using the phone , suddenly ven i open file manager , the memry card is blank & i hv to either restart the phone or reinsert the memory card...........


And often my phone doesnt detect the memory card....


Can any1 tell me , why is it happening.......???????

I MASTER RESETTED the phone many times but the issue still persists......

Should i Master clear the phone......?????

What brand/size of memory card. and how did you format it?

Toshiba 512 Mb
I formatted it by holding the stylus on Memory card in file manager and clicking on format in menu that opened up..........

I formatted it using quick format and even formatted it normally , that is, after unchecking the quick format box.....


it happens with the other memory card as well..when i use it...that one is of 1GB and is not a branded one

It seems you have a compatibility issue.For a reality check-Do a master rest and master clear. Restart the phone twice.Tap the global navigation bar and check the antenna off , then check it on.Now eject the card and reinsert it properly.Restart the phone again.If still the problem persists , you have a compatibility issue.I suggest a kingston card or sandisk.I have been using kingston 4gb card without any problems for 1 year.

Dear there is no issue like compatibility, the Daughter Board(in which memory card slot inserted) of your handset is got faulty. you dont need to do master clear or reset . just go to the service point and replace the Daughter Board of your handset. your problem has been remove definately.(Hardware Engg Motorola)

bro where can i get 4gb kingston sd im from phil... ive been searching for it... i cnt get it frm ebay or online store coz i dnt have any account...

Bro, half of my life i have been flashing and testing phones as i am a tester at GOOGLE. So if ya say there is no issue like compatibility, you sound like a nerd.I get my bread and butter for checking requirements and compatibilities friend.FOr your information this is what compatibility means:

1.show me a working 16 gb card on e6.it does not work frnd and it does not work becoz it is damn not COMPATIBLE!
2.HARDWARE ENGG. is useless if the hardware you are working on is not COMPATIBLE with the software you are trying to put in it!

It is really difficult bro to pinpoint a location but search for members from you lovely place phil on the forum and see if it helps.Contact other members from your location .
