URGENT!!! Problem with my brand new E6!!!

Hi guys !! I'm new here, and I'm sorry if my post shouldn't be here, but I'm in hurry |||

Yesterday I got a Rokr E6. 1 relative brought it to me from America, and the phone is brand new, but it can't read my SIM card...

Why it's like that? Wasn't the ROKR fabrically unlocked ??
I tested it with 2 of our operators. I'm from Bulgaria.

Please help dudes, please!! I'm so happy that i got it but i can't use it ((

After i put the SIM in and turn the phone on it says "NO SIM" and asks me if i want to work w/o atenna or turn the phone off...
Is it coded or kinda?

maybe its not unlocked!! does it have any logo?

It doesn't have any logo... I bought it from amazon, and the title says (it is still there) " UNLOCKED " .....

The other problem is that my freakin, fuckin windows can't recognize my E6... The software with the phone can't ... I can't connect it to the pc... Any ideas how to do it under Ubuntu? :\

Problem: Phone can not read SIM card or has no signal after flashing

Some users experienced problems with the phone reading the SIM card or not getting a signal after flashing (ie it searches and finds nothing). If this happens to you then try the following:

1. Tap on status bar in home screen. Switch off antenna tap ok on the bottom. Then switch on antenna again. (You may need to repeat this a couple of times)

2. If that doesn't work, change the network band [dial pad-->menu button (at bottom left)-->setup--> network setup--> menu button--> search setup--> After that close all those things and you should have service again. Once you get your service back, repeat the steps and put it on automatic again.

btw on the 2. - i don't have "Network setup" in my "Setup" menu O_o

I'll go to sleep cuz i must go to work after 6 hours...
I have few questions and I'll be pleased if you answer to them :

1. Are you sure it will work with flashing and installing a new firmware?
If it's like this - can you recommend me a firmware?

2. My charger is for China and I charge my phone thru USB cable plugged in to the PC.. Before E6 i had L6 and it couldn't be fully charged thru the USB, and i know that phone must have 100% charged battery if y'er going to flash it... So my question is - Can the E6 be fully charged only from the PC's USB port ?

no. 2 is the setup found via accessing the dial pad - top-right icon.
About the charging - I got my A1200 off eBay from Tdimension in Hong Kong, so the plug did not work for me, but they luckily provided me with an adapter (plugged in the 3-'flat'-pin plug into it and it becomes our standard 2-pin plug) so it works perfectly, you could surely get an adapter from a hardware store, but dunno, maybe voltages are completely different or whatever it is.

About the sim not working...it's very strange. firstly u say the plug is from china (therefore it originated from & possibly for china), but it came from the US, so possibly made for the US.. In my opinion (or rather: it feels as though) the US is using like a network band that no other country uses (which of course is not true) and so it's possible the phone was specifically altered for the US
But i'm sucking my thumb here as well. Surely Moto have also to cater for the 'different' countries in the world to create awareness; and so this is then a by-product of these differences..
Flash !?!?! (-i'm still to flash my phone, ..any day now). Otherwise I've no solution for ya, but i wish ya the best!

some hours charging through your PC-USB is enough for a flash.

make sure your E6 never gets totaly empty because you can't charge with the PC-USB port in this case, only a wallcharger can help you with a total empty battery.

I've bought it from Amazon.com... They take phones from China! I don't know if it's only for US using ( i don't think that's possible, but who knows.. ), but i t doesn't freakin' readin' my SIM cardS... I will flash it, but I'm not optimistic at all :\
The US network is 4 band, the phone is 3 band, so if you want to use this mothefucka there you should install apps (that's what i read in a forum)..
Bah, is there any chance to unlock it with flash? :\\\ And, please, give me a f/w ?? O_o

btw the dial pad have nothing but "insert" option when i press the menu button ...

As for the firmware, you can use the one in my signature. Stable stuff.

Such an amazon listing is certainly not a case of a locked phone. Besides, in locked phones, with or without antenna, you will most certainly see an Operator logo somewhere, after you turn on the phone.

Take a look at the tri/quad band problem. Try a sim card which works natively under triband (900-1600) i think. See if that gets it going.

Try a SIM card from somebody who is using an E6 in your place. See if that card gets recognized. Ask for his/her firmware. Try flashing into that if all else fails.

And note swifty's message clearly. If the phone dies out, you CANNOT charge it with USB charger. I had a bunch of problems with this.
