Touch Screen Problem

Hi,
The touch screen of my ROKR E6 is behaving funny,
at times it respond well at times it wont work at all.
If i synchronize the tap on touch screen and the answer reject key it works fine does that mean the answer reject key is short some were.

There is one more problem the back light remains on always even if i am using power save mode and set back light time to 30 sec.

I have tried different firmwares but no luck.


If any have any solution please let me know.


The phone is 1.5 yrs old and i know Motorola service will charge me a bomb to solve this problem

Hi OOpSSS,

It might be the contact of the LCD to the circuit board. To check, remove the battery cover, try to press with your thumb on the motorola sign area (between the LCD screen and center keys) while your other fingers is behind the battery. Using the stylus check it if the LCD is working.
I did this and after a while its ok. But still I wanted to dismantle the unit to clean the contact. I would like to see the inner part of the unit.

Thank you for the suggestion. Your suggestion have worked.
When i press the motorola logo the touch screen works fine till the time i keep it pressed. is there any permanent solution.I opened the phone and cleaned the the internal parts but still the problem is not solved. Please guide me.
