how can you disable the annoying ring when someone sends you a txt message when you on the phone talking to someone??

LOL, just record a blank wav with no sound and substitue the file that annoys you with it.
hey, just wondering is it really so hard to figure this out without someone else's help..there's nothing technical about it - just a common sound sense.

the sound file to be replaced is somewhere in the phone, I'm not sure where exactly, but if i come across it, I'll let u know, but I'm sure someone here knows off hand.

Yeah Tepem but we who are more expirienced should help a little...I really don't find that sound so annoying( more annoying was charger or device connect sound but i change it in sturtup) so i really don't know what is that soun named otherwise i should help him. I think it is ui_beep.wav so that is the one he should replace with a silent.wav All the best my friend

i think its annoying because ppl aim me n text me alot so it rings n the person im talking heres it aswell my girl always thinking its sum girl messaging me lol but im on my phone now when i get home ill upload the file.

sounds like you need to settle your gurl down......

the file your looking for SHOULD be ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/ezx_alertstyle.cfg

change alertIM from whatever it is to silent.mid
change alerttextmsg to silent.mid as well

that SHOULD solve your problem, at least that does it in the a1200......
