A newbie question...

I am completely a newbie about rokr e6 and i purchased it one week ago.

My firmware version is: r533_g_11.10.54r
I guess it is an old firmware.
I live in Türkiye. And my language is Turkish.

So, what i want to ask is:

if i upgrade my firmware to a newer one, will i lost my language? i mean will i be able to use it in Turkish? Does firmware upgrading affect language of the phone?

do you mean you have a choice of <Turkish> language in [Language Setup]?
in case you flash your phone with different firmware you will surely loose Turkish language if the new firmware does not have it included.

Fortunately there's an EZXcodec application - search the forum for it. This application (being installed on your PC) can disassemble and reassemble firmwares and thus you gain the ability to exctract and modify so-called CGs (Code Groups). One of the CGs (CG41 as far as I remember) is responsible for the language - it relates only to the languages that do not have special characters (different from normal latin layout) because if the onscreen keyboard that you use in Turkish is different from the one for English you would also need to update iconres.ezx file from CG34.

So it's quite complicated and you better PM Eakrin asking whether there's a support for Turkish in any of the firmwares with multilingual packs - since he is the guy who has been compiling them (he can also advice on what files particularily you may need to port your language from your current FW into another).

If there is no FW that supports Turkish, then you need to:

- backup your current FW from the phone
- disassemble it with EZXcodec app
- download newer FW and disassemble it in EZXcodec too
- amend newer FW as appropriate adding needful files from your FW and reassemble modded FW
- then flash this modded FW into the phone

That is a very useful information.
i have 3 options in language setup. 1.English, 2.Turkish and 3.Automatic
i am using it in Turkish.

For a multilingual version, i will PM eakrin and ask it as yo said.
i will try to flash my e6, and in case i am successful i will post and inform you all.

i just remembered my second question

is it possible to get an image (for example, like we did with $ymantec Gho$t) of the original firmware inside the phone? Because as i spoke with the technical service, when i flash my phone it becomes out of warranty. So in case i take my phone to service i must benefit from warranty
