    Default Java app upgrade problem

    Hi,

I'm facing a strange problem with upgrading my existing java apps. When I try to upgrade any existing java app, the phone opens the browser for the app and the apps jad is downloaded and I'm shown the existing phone version and the upgrade version number, I do the install and the application gets downloaded over GPRS and when it tries to actually install the app, (after specifying the install location as Memory card and the appropriate category), the system displays an error message that it is an invalid application. This happens for all Java apps. Also it doesn't have anything to do with the downloded app size.

Has someone faced this issue earlier and is their a solution for this?

at place of upgrading, uninstall the application and then install the newer version.

I think i faced this problem, but with that Opera Mini thing alone. So I'm inclined to not generalize the problem.

And solution was the same. Uninstall and reinstall.

    well,
there are some apps which are configured to activated on the phone with a provider's PIN. If I uninstall and reinstall it will be an issue. Neways thanks for the suggestion.
