    First of all

    BRICKED = UNUSABLE
    i.e, Shows boot loader on normal startp, Hanged on boot screen, phone not booting
    Caution : dangerous bricking condition when phone starts normally but you can't use it as top menu is locked all 4 GNB icons
    because your BP is corrupted

    now i think that you must flash to a firmware of right track and which is suitable for you...
    I don't have an E6 so I can't tell my suggestion to firmwares available but choose good one.

    At least you can use your phone.....
    Motorola A1200 : Beast
    Motorola MOTOROKR E6/E6e : GoldenBird/Bricked
    Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 : Stock ROM (Gingerbread 2.3.6) - ROOTED

    You said you wanna recover your contacts? Bootloader option (booting another kernel image, seeking at mtd layers, etc.. ) sure is way too far.

    The way I suggest is:
    connect your phone as is (let the screen stuck), I suppose it'll we connected as modem mode (USBLAN will do more than enough if you'd set a startup script earlier),copy your things afterwards using MPT.

    Hi Jendral,
    I tried connecting the phone as is, but it does not get detected at all. It only gets detected when in MBM Flash mode.It actually gets stuck at the "ON.GIF" loading.

    Hi Jendral, I am not understanding what you are intending to tell ..what is *nix box?
    Guys, please help me to recover my contacts, messages so that I can flash my e6...there has to be some way ...and i need to get my e6 up and running ..plz plz plz guide me how i can backup it ..
    my e6 when switched on, the hello moto screen comes with the music, then the 'ON.GIF' loads and the phone gets stuck at that..at that time..the phone does not get detected through USB. If the phone is started in MBM Flash mode, then it gets detected though USB......Please please..somebody tell me a way to backup the contacts/messages through the mbm flash mode....
