Rokr E6 Newbie, Earpiece volume too low

Hi ,

I just bought a Rokr E6 recently and am currently exploring the phone and getting to know the features. I just came across this forum and saw a wealth of information which to a newbie like me is really a lot to consume. But all of it was very interesting Info.

i had one quick question for some of the experts here. Whenever I talk to someone on my phone, The voice coming from the other side is very low and I have to strain myself in order to hear what is being said. The buttons on the side do not seem to work and It feels like it is at the maximum currently. The Speaker phone option works fine. I tried searching through this forum but could not find a definitive answer to this issue.

Can someone guide me to as to how to increase the earpiece volume which will enable me to hear what is being said on the other side.

Hi Thanks for pointing me to the link. I tried exactly the same things that were specified in the link, but I did not notice any change in the earpiece volume.

It still remains the same and I can hardly hear the other person on the other side.

Kindly suggest me something else that I could do.

I need to add that I have raised the Earpiece Gain Value in the Gain Table all the way to 200 but I dont see any difference in the phone when some other person speals.

I tried downloading the latest version of PKtools but it is hanging everytime I connect the phone.
