Master Clear and Reset button been disabled

hi all,
after installing superman backup utility my master clear and master reset button have been disabled.
I want to do a master clear due to my E6 have been infected by a virus. it is showing me 2message received and when i click that alert to read. it is giving me nothing
if i insert sim card, the phone gets restarted again and again

This would be the first virus ever on this kind of phones... pretty hard to believe that it's a virus, it's more likely a firmware bug that can be solved with a reflash.
But first try to use the phone without the memory card to see if the missing functions are back or not.

There’s nothing related to mmc
After several inspections I found that, if I insert SIM card in the phone then it gets restart over and over again and again, and it happens while phone starts searching for the network, but if I remove my SIM chip then this phone behaves fine, but I we know that GSM cant be used without sim card.

I have tried master clear using Radiocom, after taking backup using superman. Master reset cleared the sms bug (or so called virus) but still after inserting SIM the phone gets restarted.
I found Master reset doesn’t helped me so I restored all my data, funny part is after restoring and restarting my E6, I got the same sms virus reappeared….

Sometime back I have flashed my firmware for EDGE it may be the cause, now I even don’t want EDGE, I am quite happy with GPRS.

Help me out guy, do I need to reflash my E6 with a newer firmware currently I am using my phone only for music purpose.

WARNING: REBOOT PROBLEM (added Aug 2007) There appears to be an issue with doing the following seem edit on the A1200 in that if you need to do a master clear or master reset after performing this seem edit, then your phone will continuously reboot. Here is what to do to fix this:
1. Turn phone off
2. Remove the SIM card.
3. Turn the phone on with no SIM and select 'no antenna' when prompted during bootup.
4. At this point, all your seem edits are gone (yuk).
5. Connect phone to computer and launch radiocomm
6. Perform the EDGE seem edit again with the SIM card out
7. Reboot phone
8. Turn off phone,
9. Reinstall the SIM card
10. Power it back up and problem should be fixed.

NOTE: Once you have followed this procedure to enable Edge - there is no way to undo the Edit to disable it again.

But i found some Critical issue of not allowing downloading as well as calling at the same time... so not i want to get raid of EDGE as comparatively in India there's no such difference i found in EDGE and in GPRS.

Please help me to understand, would my entire problem will get solved if i flash my firmware.

Hey Konig,
I have done that now its working fine
I have reflashed EDGE script, so now it is not getting restarted, thanks to you.
I have installed all my contacts from motorola PC tools, but i am still afraid, reinstalling all my sms's back. due to the said issue.
