cant use my rokr as modem plz help

hi frenz plz help me when i installed mt motorola phone tools it installed correctly but when i launch it and connect my rokr it just says initializing but does not detect it i have updates then too i want to use it as modem is there any way to use it as modem without MPt or am i going wrong somewhgere

Try reinstalling the drivers.

if u had windows virus in ur E6...it will not detect even if u have latest updated quick heal
i can name the virus also "ntdect1.exe & autorun.inf" if these files exist in ur memory card it will not detect...more over the installation procedure must be right..if not try to install it again & while connecting ur phone to ur pc using motorola phone tools make sure u keep ur phone in mass mode storage...

I have the same problem, my comp can't detect the phone. So how to clean the virus from my phone? I have scaned the SD and found no virus.
Please advice hao to fix it.....

If the problem persists, create a new profile instead of default, that has done the trick many time for quite a few people

if u have those virus files which i have mentioned earlier then just delete it form ur mobile only they r always located in ur memory card only(if they exist) but if not then it is driver problem...

I recently tried the 'hardy' version of ubuntu. I could not connect to internet using my e6 on this OS. can somebody help me out on this? I am a newbie on linux(not much acquainted with terminal and it's commands)
