Getting 4Gb micro SDHC working with E6

Hi Friends,

The 4GB microsd cards but not the SDHC standard are really hard to find in market which is flooded with 4GB SDHC cards !

Can we come up with some solution to get the 4 GB microSDHC card working with Motorokr E6 ?

But, still I hope we could..

As of now there is no way to get the SDHC cards working. A regular 4gig SD card works fine though.

Hacking will be possible only if you have the SDK available for the E6 EZX Platform which is still not available. Besides the source is also not available. So only new development is possible, and other than limited changes no major changes are possible.

You can try to get one of the compatible cards listed in the 4GB and up FAQ sticky.

I got a SanDisk SDHC card - 4 Gb real cheap. when I put it in my E6 it (obviously) did not recognise it at all. When I used the adapter and put it in my SD card reader in my Toshiba Laptop running XP SP2, the card was not recognised by my o/s. I checked out google/other forums, and found that Microsoft had a hot fix for this - hotfix for XP to recognise SDHC card in SD card reader. I downloaded and installe the hotfix and my laptop was able to recognize the SDHC card and I could read/write to it.

So it looks more like a software thingy... I'm sure the required 'drivers' in the E6 could be updated/hacked to enable E6 to recognise SDHC cards also...That will make our day since SDHC cards are flooding the market.

thanks, but where are the instructions for doing this?
I'm supposed to flash my phone's firmware with this? ive done that before, but how do i do it using this file?

btw all the manuals for doing this seem to be in spanish or another language i cant recognize.
