How to get service provider's location information on home screen on E6

Well even in low cost nokia phones like 1100, here in India we get the current location... (from the nearest signal tower i guess...)

But E6 does not show that line in the home screen.
I use R535_g_11.81.09P_R92_WM

hey i have the solution.....
if u r using airtel...then try this technique...
1st go to messege menu, then go to service setup then make that service "on"....
go to active channels, add a new channel...u will be asked for channel no...
there u have to enter "50" & save it then click ok & save...
then ur phone is ready to display local area...restart may be required...try this...if u don't have airtel network no problem u can still try this..if it didn't work no problem it will not harm....

Hey Ashish im usin airtel connection in hyderabad. im unable add the new channel "50" and delete the old channel "0" from my rokr what should i do? if i use my brothers airtel sim in my phone its showing service area. but not wotking with my sim what should i do help me...thanks in advance.my f/w version is default 08P.

I could not add channel 50...

it says failed to add channel 50....

This has been replied many times before...In some firmware and with some old sims.. this issue is there. No workarnd possible as of now.

Ur method of displaying the area name is working but it's not suitable for the .09p vietkey firmware. Instead of displaying the area name on the homescreen it gives popups of the area name. We cant even ignore it . it constantly gives flash messages. Please see if there is any alternate way to bring the service area name on the homescreen of this firmware.
