Service Area Information Display : .09 FW

Hi guys,

The below steps work cool in .08 p. But in .09 p FW it doesn't display the information on the screen, instead I keep on receiving sms..!! How to solve it guys ?


If u have .08p ,,this will work

just take ur e6 in hand:-
1)- Go to message menu and Tap on Options
2)-tap on service setup, then info service
3)-Put the service on by tapped the radiobutton in front on Service
4)-Then click on Active Channels
5)-Delete all previous channel
6)-Tap on options click new channel,,
7)-Enter new channel with value 50 and click on OK
just wait few seconds and u will get ur place wriiten at the bottom

this works on indian stock .08p firmware

Yes it is ... in fact from some guys on account, it is quite a drain on the battery. and to top it... I don't think anyone is figured why sms's come instead of area information - leave alone resolve it. Rgds Sandy

Thanks for the information guys.

But one question is that this is very basic feature to be made available.

Even low end Nokia mobiles ,etc. have it !

It should be gr8 if we could include this feature in E6 without much stress on the battery.

Hope our developers guys in this forum would take this up.
