Yea sure,
Just open any firmware with SBFCodec, delete all CGs except CG39 and RDL3. save this file as *anything*.sbf
In this case, i created an smg for CG39 using a hex editor and telectroguy's image. then replaced the cg39 i had saved earlier with this one and saved it again

everything will be fine. If however u wanna be on the safe side, u can create a backup.
