    Default Startup folder

This is basically for people new to linux phones.

    1. What is a startup script?
    - It is a script that automatically executes certain commands when the operating system boots up.

    2. Which firmware support startup scripts
    - None of the stock firmware support startup scripts. You have to get a modded firmware ( commonly known as a monsterpack) to use these scripts.

    3. What is its use?
    - Startup scripts are extremely useful for changing certain system properties like sounds, fonts, and more recently, the new keyboard for texting.

Commonly, there are two types of startup scripts, either of which can enabled in a monsterpack. They are startup.txt and startup1.txt

Here is a sort of GUI for the startup script for people new to linux phones.

    Instructions:

Find out if startup.txt or startup1.txt is supported by your firmware. Rename the statrup1.txt to startup.txt if
    necessary.

Extract autorun.zip for the autorun folder.

Put the autorun folder and startup script in your memory card.

    Reboot your phone.

    Autorun folder contains three folders:
    1. Animations : for on-off animations
    2. Fonts : to change the font
    3. Sound : to change exz_volumetable, touchscreen sound, startup and shutdown sounds, default ringtone, etc.

You can add more to this script, like autorun applications, themes, etc.

P.S.- use any UNIX compatible text editor to edit startup1.txt, not notepad.

Let me see if i can explane startup1.txt goes on the root of your T.Flash,an the autorun folder as well. Now in the autorun folder there is a folder named sound in here you can change your startup, keypad, touchpad etc...sounds. To do this rename your .wav to what ever sound name is in the folder. Such as the sounds folder has a file like this startup.wav an your's is like this drums.wav, you would rename the drums.wav to startup.wav then replace the startup.wav in the folder. Then restart

  10. Default Thanks...

    Manu,

You mean to place the startup.txt and autorun folder on the rrot of memmory card..and thats all??
