.Bho backup problem with new firmwares

Ok so i have been changing firmwares quite a bit to see which is better/faster/friendlier whatever [im flashing my phone right now actually ] anyway..

I keep my sms messages.. which is the main problem.. when i go to restore a .bho backup (smart asst back up) the phone restores it fine, but on firmwares like Ahman's hybrid the homescreen is once again limited to just two selections and most annoyingly the programs disappear AS WELL AS THE TIME APP!! which makes it very annoying to set the time (i had to use e6konsole and use the date -s command, which only worked until i restarted the phone).. The time app still was in the apps, but it simply switched the Voice Recognition app to English from English (cantonese didn't work, but i dont speak chinese so it wasn't a problem)


SO anyway. my question is.. how can i restore my stuff w/o eliminating the reasons for why i flashed my phone in the first place :-p

Hi, I would recommend the same solution for you as for DJPaz - eakrin's Backup and Restore Utility.
The way I see it, after flashing, you only need to transfer the personal data onto the phone memory, which this program is more than capable of doing. All other installed applications will not have to be moved around simply because they will be present in your memory card. However, make sure you know the data network settings as these are not carried foward.
