help needed

hi
i edited ezx_screen3.cfg settings and restarted the phone
screen3 got activated but when i restarted the phone scren3 got
deactivated and exz_screen3.cfg was reverted to initial settings is there any way so that settings do not change on there own
any help will be greatly appritiated
