Please help the newbie pretty please

Please help me I bought a Moto Rokr E6 and recieved it yesterday. I put in the att chip and i dont get any signal it stays at Emergency use only. I tried with other similar chips and doesnt work. I did try another provider and it worked but I use att. Can someone please explain to me step by step what i need to do to get my phone working. All help will be appreciated.

thanks i did everything the instructions told me to do. But I only have one question why does my screen say cingular when my provider is att. i know its same but why did i do something wrong. plz help and thanks alot i installed the script and i think that have the edge network. The capital E means edge right?

well for vodafone it shows hutch in india
both are same but i think the settings store the previous name here too

Cingular and ATT are the same now, so its probably due to the location where you are. and yes the 'E' means that you are on an EDGE network. if the Cingular name really bothers you, there is an app to change the network name to anything you want. Search for it in the forums here, its easy to use.

You have to get an update sent to your phone from AT&T customer service. Just call them and tell them that your phone says Cingular instead of AT&T and they will fix it. I had the same problem and they sent me the update, it took less than 5 minutes.

Alright now i have another question. How can I install a skin or theme or whatever its called in to my phone. Please help me because I've read all over the forum and found some nice skins but I can't find the skin installer. Help me please cause this Motorola Rokr E6 is soooo confusing. Any other tips or help will be very very appreciated.
