Thread: 88 hrs+ battery backup for E6

Thumbs up 88 hrs+ battery backup for E6

    Hey guys ,
I bought Moto Rokr E6 two months ago, since then i was facing problem of short battery life. My battery used to last only a day or max a day and a half under normal usage. I was sure that a 1000 mAh batery is capable of a lot more. Since then i had been trying every thing that could increase battery life (switching on/off power save, minimizing backlight duration and intensity etc), but a significant improvement was not visible. The latest change i did was switching of the info services, and i am surprised to see that my battery has lasted for more than 88 hours and the phone is still going on (though messages of low battery have started flashing), so i hope that the battery may last upto 90 + hours easily.

My daily usage includes : 5-10 minutes of bluetooth usage , 30 minutes of audio listening(using speakers), 20 minutes of radio listening (using headphones) , 5-10 minutes of watching videos, 20-30 minutes of calling , 30 texts(sending) and 30 texts(recieving).

So i think with that sort of usage , the battery performance has been excellent. So to confirm my finding i request all of you to try this and write the findings.

For switching off info services : Goto messages & in options Goto Service Setup , Select Info Service and switch it off.

The other settings which might had been supporting for battery backup in my case are
    1. Power Save Feature is turned on.
    2. Backlight is set @ 10%.
    3. Backlight Sleep time is 30 seconds.

My battery backup before switching off info services was somewhere between 24-36 hours.

Please try it ,write about your findings and confirm results..

    Thanks

Info service basically is the one that displays the AREA in which you currently are etc on the screen..
Moreover the info services are nowadays being exploited by service providers for advertisements of their schemes .

Like in vodafone it displays Dial 123 for CKT , in standby mode etc..

    Thanks

Does this usually show up on the home screen or does it come in the form of a sms?
