    Cool protect jar to install

    Hi,
    Problem1:
When I download jar file from GPRS using my default E6 browser it doesn’t ask to save that file and automatically launch installation program even don’t let me download Jad file
Please help me out to identify any tweak or is there any utility to overcome this bug

    Problem2:
Unable to download attachments from email using default browser
Or I can say, “If there is no direct link to that file we can’t download it OR in case of redirected link we are not able to download that file”

    Problem3:
After installation Motorola E6 hide/ remove that installation file from that location

    Anybody facing this issue???

    Guys Any Fix????

    Hi,

Let's see what we can do.

    1. Yes, that's a problem, and there's nothing you can do about it. An alternative is that you use a computer to download the jad and jar files and then transfer it to your phone.

    2. Solution: Dont use the default browser. Get on Opera Mini 4, which is wonderful to use with the E6. It will redirect links for you.

    3. It's not a bug. Why do you need the installation file after u install it? It was the most logical idea. Anyway, you can do a copy of the file before you install it. Or if you have already done it, a copy of the jar file will be present in your memory card, under .system/java/downloadapps/midletxxxxx/files/
So connect it to your comp or use ekonsole to get the jar file.

    hope that helps,
    xeta

"No doubt about about ur integrity" but opera mini is not compatible to download file by its own.. it just get existed and redirects Url to default browser only

    Thumbs up

Why do u want jar file on ur mobile, if u cant edit or anything with it from ur mobile?
    1. for backup, -> u can download again
    2. to share with some other person, -> then u can just tap on installed app and then click share

    i think 2nd point answers ur Q...

Edit: The jar can be shared with non rokrE6 phones also

    Hi,

Too bad on the USB thing not working in your office. It's a bit strange though.

As for your second problem, I know Opera Mini wont do any downloading and that it reverts to the default browser, but it's capable of redirecting links; ie, i clearly remember downloading an mp3 attachment that came with a mail. It resolves the link completely, and forwards the final download file link to the default browser, which finally downloads the file quite gracefully.

And good to know you got ur last solution. I'd just mail it to them or something
