Replacing entire sms system

Well...I am not here to tell the bugs about this phone...but I think this phone really rocks except
1. A decent MP3 player...I know there are lots of out here...but except Realplayer..none or the other supports the side keys while the phone is locked.
2. Real players user friendliness is good but not as fast as SE..can it be increased some how?
3. Camera settings can't be saved...like I noticed the best photo color comes out when the mode is direct sunlight with brightness level down to 2...but every time I start the camera I have to do it...I tried but..no it can't be saved...?
. And the most that irritates me is except default skin..which ever skin I install...when I make a call...except my 4th icon(dial icon)..other three(menu/phonebook/sms) changes back to default and after finishing phone call it becomes normal...can it be solved...please?

Speaking of replacing entire sms system, I never heard any vendor can do that without a SDK and programming skills.

I'm a Siemens user for 5 years, and there are a lot of mod for my phone but none is suppose to replace the sms system.

Siemens isn`t LinuxPhone. On E6 we can(when Motorola give SDK) rewrite sms-module.. Look in eKonsole on proccess list.. Sms, Phone and etc. it`s undependent modules.

Even with an SDK you cant edit the current SMS module, you'll eed to re-write it, unless Motorola release the code of the current module, what has been mentioned here is not possible. Firstly theres going to be no SDK, so hoping they release code for their own apps, is like wishing motorola upgrade the cams to 5Mpx cams AF for all E6 users

I know Siemens its not a Linux phone. My point is even E6 is modable, you can't change the system without knowing the source.

Maybe if Android is release, I hope it will run on E6.

Maybe Motorola don't release E6 code because its owned by MontaVista?
