how can you set .gif files as the wallpaper on the E6

Does anyone know if it's possible to set .gif files as the wallpaper on an E6? if so, how?

I was able to set one, but it would not animate.
I opened it from the file browser, and used the options menu that you can get to from the icon in the lower left hand corner.
Sucks about the animation.
