    Default Help: Mobile GMaps want to work in Offline

    Hi

    I am successfully using internet in my E6 through Computer....

    Now i want to view the maps offline, which i viewed earlier wen i was online

    Is this possible??
    Where r those cache gets stored?? by default it says E:/mgmmaps
    where is that location??

    And also i learnt how to download .map file from mobile gmaps site! How to use that .MAP file to view offline?


    I dont want to waste costly gprs to view it wen i am mobile...

    W8ing for replies...

    Here is what u r searching..

    and to set location for cached files goto
    settings--> map Browsing --> click on context menu(button on left side of Save)--> browse..
    Go to that location and save..

    Browse button doesn't work there...!

    nothing happens....clicking on it!

    it will work after u give full permission to the installed java app.. search for java hacker on fourm...

    Its working for me! the link in ur thread has all information

    Now downloaded the whole chennai map....

    How did u put those files in ur memory card?? Those small small files .mgm files takes huge time to copy

    To copy just 5 MB of data it take more than hour

    Is there any other way to do it quickly! >???

    yes it takes time becoz of small files.. will be a little faster if u transfer it in Mass Storage mode..(if not doing so already)

    I have the whole chennai map with zoom level of upto 17....
