Backup n Restore Problem

I used AhMan Customised E6 08P Firmware (version 1) at first n i back up my fon using smart assistant...thn i flashed n put E6e_07P_DAG_final n restored agn using smart assistant...but evry new added softwares disappered...y does ths happen..its lyk my old apps were overwritten on da new ones

all i want is to backup my contact list.. is there a way only to do that...as i see, the backin up only works correctly with the same firmware..isn't it?? is there another way???

I would recommend you get Motorola Phone Tools and back up your contacts onto your computer. then flash then restore your contacts to your phone

I'd suggest you go for Eakrin's Backup and Restore utility. Having never used SmartAssistant, I wont comment on it. The program by Eakrin backs up all the data in the contact list, sms, emails and calendar items only

If it's just contacts, then I'd certainly suggest MPT. I mean, it's the only official thing and it works!

mods can't test all.
i never used MPT, because it is not working on my favorit Operating System, so i can say i wont comment on it
