Confused MotoFan...

hii guys,

this is my first post in this forum.
Iam going 2 buy e6 in 2 weeks time..(with my 1st salary !!)
My two prvious phones were also from Moto (E398, V3i) and i modded it to max...
i hav got a few question regarding E6 and also S9.

1) Sound Quality as compared to 6233 or N73 through included headphones ..

2) Quality and loudness of loudspeakers.

3) Is it advisable to buy the S9 headphones ?? coz i've heard that sound lags while listening to music..


4) Ease of use..

i only have 10 days to decide...
plz help me out .....

Well, I have an S9, and I've been lovin' it... The sounds on E6 is better than any nokia phones I know, and I've known quite a few... On S9 again, they are correct on that one, although I believe it lags due to RF interference... It says on the manual to keep it on waist length, but the funny thing is sound quality is good even if it's below waist, and sometimes there is problems with sounds even if I point the damn thing on the phone itself... So I think it's an interference issue... I've tried it on my wifey's K800i and there's no problem... As yet... I'm still about to test it further... All in all, S9 is a fairly good headset...

If your going to use headphones keep in mind that this phone uses a 3.5mm jack. So you can use any headphones you have or purchase some higher quality ones.

The quality of the loudspeaker is very good, you should not have any problems with it.

The ONLY thing that I disslike about my E6 is the lack of a t9 style keypad for texting, and usually its only a minor inconvenience, and hopefully that will be resolved sometime in the near future.

sound quality... is top class with the players like exmms and rockbox.. it beats any SE/nokia/iPod/<anyotheraudioplayer> .. and that too with the default headset..

I haven't tried S9 yet.. i never felt the need ..

this phone is a kickass music player.. but scores low on camera.. and thats my only low point for E6..

1) Comparable if not better
2) A phone speaker is nothing but a ringer, listening to music on it is pointless even if it has 2-3-4 speakers built into it(I know so because I'm a previous E398 as well as N73 user), anybody listening to music on the speakers I can say does not appreciate music and they are killing it by playing it on a phone speaker. The E6 speaker is loud enough to hear.
3) Yes it is advisable but pointless at the moment if you're going to use exmms or roackbox because they dont have bluetooth support
4)Ease of use, messaging is a problem and lack of new folders is another problem, other than that the music centered keys etc.. make it easto use while driving(chaning tracks etc without having to look at the phone)

thanks for ur prompt response..

So after reading ur views, i hav decided to drop the idea of buying S9 headphone..
One more question ..

Is it easy to mod this phone as e398 and v3i ??

Its different. Modding as such with seems etc.. is more difficult except for a few mods made by Alpha and imahottguy. But since its linux other parts can be modded, you can enable stuff to run at startup etc.. its a totaly different ball game, more fun and a bit harder too. I came from the E398 modding field years ago, maybe 2 years since I modded a E398, I guess lots has changed since then.
